Missions

CLC is the sponsoring organization for the Released-Time Christian Education program provided for Greenville County public school children. It is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors. Each member professes and lives a life exemplary of the Christian faith. The 12 board members are from various professional backgrounds and church affiliations; however, their love for God and sharing His word with children are passions they all share.

Today, the organization operates predominantly with the assistance of volunteers. CLC requires all volunteers and employees to undergo a screening process to meet its high standards for service.

CLC received two state honors for their ministry efforts: The Chairman's Award from the Greenville County Legislative Delegation (2009) and a Distinguished Service Award from the Secretary of State (2002). CLC also received commendations for outstanding service from Lt. Governor Bob Peeler (2002), Governor Mark Sanford (2007), and Senator Jim DeMint (2007, 2010).
